At the Annual Meeting of the Washington State Animal Health
Foundation on October 6, 2011 in Yakima, an election will be held to
select a Trustee for the Washington State Animal Health Foundation.
The Trustee will be elected to serve a five-year term.
Trustees remaining on the Board, and the year their term expires,
are Dr. Linda DeBowes, 2011, Dr. Angela Lehman, 2012, Dr. Terry
Teeple, 2013, Dr. Lisa Dzyban, 2014 and Dr. Carrie La Jeunesse,
2015.
Duties of the Trustees include:

Attend all meetings of the Foundation.

Review grant applications and decide which projects will be funded
and to what level.

Identify/assist with fundraising goals and opportunities to ensure
financial success.

Commitment to the mission and goals of the Foundation.
Participation is by conference call two - five times per year.
The President attends the fall WSVMA Executive Board meeting to
present the Foundation's annual report.
The Foundation is currently re-launching with new goals and grant
guidelines (attached). New brochures and marketing media are in
the process of development and will be completed soon. Project
Breathe is a new program in the works and is a partnership with
Invisible Fence to provide oxygen masks to local fire departments. The
development of Pet first aid kits is another project the Trustees are
currently working on.
